There are some artists that simply strike you more than others. For me—when it comes to photography especially—one of those artists are the lovely folks in David Wax Museum. Last Thursday night, David Wax and Suz Slezak took to the stage at Arts at the Armory with a fantastically talented band of musicians to celebrate the release of their newest release You Must Change Your Life which, according to David and Suz, is the album they’ve been waiting to make for the last ten years.
In an explosion of energy, color and song, the band took over the air inside the Somerville venue and held it until the final notes had faded, leaving everyone in attendance feeling as though they’d been witness to a night that was just as fulfilling for the artists as it was for those witnessing the joy on stage.
If you find yourself within driving distance of any of the future shows David Wax Museum has planned, I highly suggest you make getting there a priority.
