The new video for Okkervil River’s Wake and Be Fine premiered today, the song is from the upcoming album “I Am Very Far” by Okkervil River, out May 10 on Jagjaguwar. The dark contrasty visuals complement the dark side of the song, and give you a really good opportunity to hear and read the lyrics to the song. Okkervil River has really stepped up the level on the music here, and its only that much more exciting to get to hear the rest of the album out in a few weeks.

To me it seems like it fits in with the genre ‘spaghetti western horror cabaret.’

Leave a CommentI’ve been catching songs from Wolf Gang, the project of 23 year-old London multi-instrumentalist Max McElligott, “Dancing with the Devil” the second single from his forthcoming, Suego Faults (3/21 in UK). But when I see him play acoustic (see back to back) it’s even better. This video of a stripped back version of Max & the band’s single is flipping fantastic. Couldn’t be more excited for this album.
