Matt Lowell – Swan Lake
Released back in March (and totally missed by me) is Matt Lowell’s new EP, Swan Lake. Swan Lake is co-written with Dead Oceans Recording artist John Vanderslice and produced by Joel Hamilton (Black Keys, Matisyahu, Sparklehorse). In addition to Vanderslice and Hamilton, Minna Choi the arranger of the indie Magik*Magik Orchestra was added to create orchestrations and complex arrangements that are completely gorgeous and lush.
Its a great EP that show’s off the Berklee grad’s solid songwriting and matured musicianship all in one nice little package especially for the free pricetag he’s got on his bandcamp page.
