New Music | Aaron Behrens and The Midnight Stroll - Keep On Rising

AaaronBehrans

[A]aron Behrens is a very busy man these days. The voice of Austin duo Ghostland Observatory is blazing a new path now that the Texas electro-rock band is currently on hiatus. Behrens is launching a much talked about solo career and will release his debut album as Aaron Behrens & The Midnight Stroll on September 16th via the singer’s brand new label, Skeleton Farm Records.

The solo idea took flight last year when Behrens joined forces with a fellow Austin musician/producer Jonas Wilson (of Lomita and White White Lights) and together formed The Midnight Stroll. The resulting sound and style is vastly different compared to the pulse pounding beats of Ghostland, which is exactly what the frontman was looking for on his new journey.

The first single from the forthcoming album is the fervent number, “Keep On Rising,” which could very well be interpreted as Behrens’ need to escape the confines of a well established band with a huge cult following. While the signature vocals are still in place, the sound leans more towards the blues/soul side of the music spectrum. I’m very much looking forward to this album.

Aaron Behrens and The Midnight Stroll set off on a massive tour of the country this Fall and will have a stop in Boston on November 19th at Great Scott (Tickets and info).
