Houston seems to be a hotbed for talent these days, and Buxton is one that has caught my ear with their eccentrically lush harmonies pounding rhythm & prickly banjo plucking. Its a newgrass sound that is reminding me of quite a bit like Joe Strummer’s [Johnny Appleseed](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pYwPc6UNmo&ref=musicsavage.com). Check out their first track “Boy of Nine,” off their upcoming album *Nothing Seems Strange Here*, out 1/31
