# New Music | Ethan Burns - Homeward

I haven’t been able to find out too much about California’s Ethan Burns. But this track that was released “Homeward,” landed in my inbox, and it’s really great. In “Homeward,” Burns finds himself a troubadour in Stax-esque soul/ rhythm and blues song about the never-ending doubt about a broken relationship. The ~~wanting~~ needing bleeds through Burns’ raspy voice, and the crispy rhythms really nicely encapsulate that early sixties sound. You could easily compare “Homeward,” to a soul contemporary like Leon Bridges, and if that’s the case, I can’t wait to hear more.
