New Music | Life In Film - It's What Happens Next That Matters Most
East London band Life In Film are continuing the revitalization of Britpop with the release of the latest single titled, “It’s What Happens Next That Matters Most,” off their forthcoming debut album Here It Comes due to be released this spring, via +1 Records here in the States.
The new track is another example of how you take a classic sound, pioneered perfectly by the 90’s trendsetters of the era, and make it your own. “It’s What Happens Next That Matters Most” starts off quietly, with a guitar and lead vocalist Samuel Fry contemplating the end of a relationship as he sings, “This must be the end/Cause I’m alone/And although I tried my friend/There’s nowhere else to go.” Sad lyrics for sure, but then the drums kick in and the beat makes you forget your worries.
What happens next truly will matter most for Life In Film. They are heading across the pond to tour with their UK pals The Wombats in April, and it will be the first (and last) time they are here as openers. The tour has a stop in Boston as the British invasion will be landing at The Paradise Tuesday, April 28th. Be sure to be there folks!
