A close friend of mine was studying abroad in Spain a few semesters back and spent more than a few evenings at a local open mic night. McConnell’s band is Santah. A quintet who met at the University of Illinois, they released their debut full-length album *White Noise Bed* on June 7th.

*Chips of Paint* is a great song, and the perfect track to give you the gist of their sound. McConnell’s voice is pretty unique and vaguely framiliar too. But I can’t for the life of me think of who exactly he reminds me of. But overall, their sound is catchy, upbeat and easy to jam out too.
