# New Music | SZA - Aftermath

\[L\]ove at first listen! It’s not a term to be thrown around lightly, and yes I write about music I love with hope that our extended Music Savage gang (You) fall in love as well. New Jersey native SZA has a brand new EP out titled *S* and I can tell you that the moment I pressed play on the new single, “Aftermath,” the above mentioned term of endearment hit me hard. The track swirls with electronic rhythm-and-blues beats, a touch of dubstep, and just the right amount of dreamy synth-pop. With an opening line like “I apologize for waiting to tell you for so long/I am not human/I am made of bacon” you really can’t go wrong. Fantastic music production aside, it is SZA’s hauntingly angelic voice that stands out over the expertly layered dimensions of sound.

The EP *S* is the first in a series of 3 EP’s, with *Z* and *A* to follow shortly. If you happen to find yourself in New York this weekend SZA has 2 shows for you to choose from, or you can just see them both. Tonight (4/12) she will be performing at Glasslands in Brooklyn and tomorrow (4/13) you can find her at Pianos located in the Lower East Side section of Manhattan.
