New Music | Terraplane Sun - The Stone
[W]e New Englanders are patiently waiting for the cold to release its wintery grasp on our souls so it brings me great happiness to share with everyone the warm, sunshiny vibes of our favorite Southern California band Terraplane Sun. The Venice Beach quintet will release their new album Generation Blues this June on Trauma 2 Records and the first single from the forthcoming record is the hand-clapping, feel good number “The Stone,” a song meant to be played loudly with windows wide open. Terraplane Sun know the formula for perfect sing-along, hip shaking songs and there is no need to stray from the soulful, 60’s dance party playbook.
Generation Blues is the follow up to the band’s summer of 2013 EP, Ya Never Know, which was very well received and quickly made the SoCal musicians known throughout the country…even in the coldest states. Constantly touring has helped a great deal as well, with word of mouth on their strong stage presence and killer live shows bringing in new fans at every stop. You can check them out yourself soon enough as the boys are currently on the 3 of Clubs Tour through May and have a show here in Boston March 31st at the fantastic Brighton Music Hall. Get there and shake off the winter blues!
