# Photos | Mandolin Orange + Kate Rhudy @ Royale

There are two things that are consistently true about seeing [Mandolin Orange](http://www.mandolinorange.com/?ref=musicsavage.com) in concert:

1. You are about to witness or have witnessed near musical perfection.
2. The sets are never long enough.

Both of those line items still remained in tact for me as I left [The Royale](https://royaleboston.com/?ref=musicsavage.com) last Friday night. Flanked, once again, by a band of fantastic musicians, the duo of Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz gave the early-Friday-night packed house a show that had even the most bustling folks tightening their lips and taking it all in.

As an added bonus, a majority of the crowd were introduced to Raleigh, NC up-and-comer [Kate Rhudy](https://www.katerhudy.com/?ref=musicsavage.com). Fresh off the heels of her Kickstartered, first full-length original release *[Rock N’ Roll Ain’t for Me](https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/rock-n-roll-aint-for-me/id1242931870?mt=1&app=music&ref=musicsavage.com)*, there’s no doubt that Kate not only won hearts with her personal demeanor, but won new fans with songs and a voice that you should definitely seek out.
