The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on the electrifying new single, “Gotta Get To Know Ya,” from Shreveport, Louisiana quintet Seratones. It’s the first single from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, Power, out August 23rd via New West Records.

Seratones is gospel-trained, force to be reckoned with musician A.J. Haynes (vocals/guitar) and her ridiculously talented bandmates Jesse Gabriel (drums), Adam Davis (bass), Travis Stewart (guitar), and Tyran Coker (keyboards). Power was recorded in Nashville at Battle Tapes and produced by Cage The Elephant’s Bradley Shultz. The new release finds the five-piece swapping out the punky/garage rock grit of their amazing 2016 debut album, Get Gone, for a new vintage soul sound which hits you hard with banging drums and popping bass mixed perfectly with guitar shreds and hints of superbly crafted synth.

I think “Gotta Get To Know Ya” will make you jump for joy! It’s the perfect addition to your new summertime playlist and should be listened to at full blast while dancing around the room like nobody is watching. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this band live and getting my dance on… you DO NOT want to miss them my friends!
