Press Play October was a spooky good month for new music, and I’m psyched for the broad range of music that we’ve got on this playlist. Everything from power pop jams to jangly americana to lo-fi ambling indie rock. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. As always if there’s something I missed, please leave a comment and tell me what it is.
Another fantastic month of new music, and it was quite a feat just to get this down to 40 songs. Let us know what we missed, or what you like in the comments below.
Songs that we think you should hear without all the pomp and circumstance. When I Learned Your Name // Daniel Romano Steady Cruising // Fang Night Broken Halos // Chris Stapleton Faded Valentine // Justin Townes Earle Honest // Alyeska Omaha // Toro Y Moi Pockets Full of No // Coast Modern Glares // Slow Caves Bamako // Songhoy Blues
I’ve been really into this new track from LA outfit, Alyeska. “Everglow, an alt tinged and guitar powered track thats an moody, dark, sonically emotional track with a definite tie to alt-rock era. Produced by John Agnello, (Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr., Phosphorescent) the single comes ahead of their debut album which will also be produced by Agnello and released later this summer.
