Song of the Week | Buffalo Tom – Roman Cars

The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is on the incredible new single, “Roman Cars,” from Boston’s very own Buffalo Tom. This is the second time we have focused on the legendary local trio, and for good reason. Their ninth studio album, Quiet and Peace, is out Friday, March 2nd via Scrawny/Schoolkids Records, and as I have listened to it front and back quiet a few times now, I can honestly say that their first album in seven years was well worth the wait! Buffalo Tom are Bill Janovtiz (vocals/guitar), Chris Colbourn (vocals/bass), and Tom Maginnis (drums)…

Song of the Week | Buffalo Tom – All Be Gone

The latest edition of the WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on the ridiculously great single, “All Be Gone,” from Boston legends Buffalo Tom. [B]oston’s very own Buffalo Tom will be taking the Paradise Rock Club stage this Saturday night (6/21) to officially welcome the warm sunshine and long rock n’ roll days to our fair city. The energy they bring to each and every live show is pretty spectacular and the amount of fun the trio have on stage is infectious. These guys have been making Boston proud since 1987, and now that they have pulled back a bit on the ol’ touring reins it is always a treat to see them perform in the area. This will more than likely be…

This Weekend | Buffalo Tom at The Sinclair

[T]here are quite a few amazing Boston bands that shaped the sound of my younger days, but no other band has truly represented what I would soon come to define as “my style” of music more than Buffalo Tom. I can always find a song of theirs that represents a specific moment in my life, be it extremely happy or downright sad, and throughout the years the trio has continued to release album after album of time defining rock n’ roll. Now it is not my intent to simply wax nostalgic about what Buffalo Tom has meant to me all…
