2015 | Steve’s Top Albums of the Year

Welp… I don’t think it would be at all possible to put this off any longer than I have. New Music | Wye Oak – Civilian

Civilian The much anticipated 3rd release (Civilian) of Baltimore duo Wye Oak won’t come until 2011.  But yesterday amped up the anticipation with title track, Civilian being released. The track is powerful, yet vocally quiet singer Jenn Wasner’s voice conveys that strength until succumbed by Andy Stack’s guitars, organs, pounding percussions drown her out.  The song is quite beautiful, and a joy to listen to.
