2018 | Steve’s Best of the Year

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! No, you’re not one too many eggnogs in, I said Thanksgiving. I’ll tell ya why. It’s the time of year that we find ourselves taking a step back and looking at all that presented itself to us throughout the last 365 days. In the music world, that often means a “Best of” list, but outside of that, it usually means taking stock of a whole host of other things. And this post might just be a combination of those two things, as while it’s obvious 2018 pushed forward just as much great music as years past, there’s…

Photos | Glorietta @ Brighton Music Hall

If you’re unfamiliar with the band Glorietta, you’ve been seriously missing out. Song of the Week | Glorietta – Hard Way

The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on the excellent new single, “Hard Way,” from the brand new supergroup Glorietta. The six-piece band have just released a couple of singles from their upcoming, self-tilted debut album due out August 24th. Glorietta are Matthew Logan Vasquez (Middle Brother, Delta Spirit), Noah Gundersen (The Courage), Kelsey Wilson (Wild Child), David Ramirez, Adrian Quesada (Brownout, Black Pumas), and Jason Blum. The band came to life last year when Vasquez traveled to my old hometown of Austin, Texas to catch a show by singer-songwriter David Ramirez. The…
