So if you are interested in a mix that spans Dale Watson to Carly Rae Jepsen, this is the one for you. I Hope you dig our mix, and please as always let us know what songs should have been on the mix.

2013 | Courtney’s 7 Favorite Albums of 2013

Caitlin Rose, The Stand In Nashville’s Caitlin Rose released her sophomore album this year, a fantastic set of whiskey-soaked country songs straight out of a 1950s Hollywood sound stage. It’s impressive that Rose is only 25 years old. But honestly, this girl could teach almost anyone a thing or two about writing and recording a great country album. Night Beds, Country Sleep One of the best debuts of 2013, Night Beds’ Country Sleep started with Winston Yellen dropping out of college, breaking up with a girlfriend and losing his job. Yellen then took to his ‘night bed’ in the back…

Review | Local Natives – Hummingbird

[I]n 2010, LA-based Local Natives released their debut record, Gorilla Manor, named after the house that the five bandmates shared in Orange County. My Top Albums of ’10 10 – 6

It’s near impossible to pick one top album with the massive amount of music I listened to this year but I thought I’d try to at least give you an idea of what you should grab this year before we start anew. Monday I debuted 20 thru 16; Yesterday my 15 thru 11. 10.  The Morning Benders  – Big Echo This album was so damn good.  The songs by Chris Chu, are some of the best songs written in this calendar year.  ‘Excuses,’  is one of the sweetest pop-rock songs we heard this year.  Put together with one of the…

Video | Local Natives – Who Knows Who Cares?

Check out the Official Video fro Local Natives’ Who Knows Who Cares from their outstanding album Gorilla Manor.  This happened to be my favorite track off the album, and I’m really glad they made the video.  Who wouldn’t want to be part of this road trip, and eventually part of this food fight.
