Another great month of music, almost too much of it, to keep the format of 40 songs from the month I ended up pulling a few favorites. But there are some great songs in here, and I know I will continue to come back to this mixtape as the year goes along. I’ve had a ton of fun putting this together, and hope you enjoy.

Leave a CommentIcelandic musician Sóley Stefánsdóttir hails from a small town called Hafnarfjörðu and currently resides in the country’s capital Reykjavík. She was a member of the seven-piece indie-folk band Seabear and in 2010 released her fantastic debut solo EP Theater Island, followed by her first full-length, We Sink, in 2011, and 2015’s Ask the Deep, all on Moor Music. Her beautiful piano playing and ethereal voice have brought accolades from all over the music blogging world and she is a beloved musician in Iceland.
