When Youth Lagoon released the video for Montana, I was floored by the elegance and beauty of both the video and the song. I don’t think the effort for July ups the ante, but it certainly is on par with Montana. What July does have, is a great climactic feel, as the music gets huge, the cinema follows along. Its such a great song, and video, a wonderful teamwork of artistry and sound.

I had heard this song before, and not been such a fan, but after seeing this video, I’m a total fan of Youth Lagoon. There’s not a lot to say, I’d rather you just see it. I think its one of the most gorgeous videos I’ve seen this year. Kudos to Tyler T. Williams for directing.
