Chief – Night & Day

I’ve been enamored of this song since I posted the mp3 for  Night and Day a month ago. Also don’t sleep on their other track that they’ve released,  Your Direction is fantastic. Band of Horses – Blue Beard

Maps & Atlases Play with 8th Grade Drumline

Stream Best Coast – Crazy For You

It’s yet another dreamy lo-fi beach / surf – pop act, but this one in particular shines in a crowded room.  Their music is a mix of california breezes, the beach boys and a near gospel like vocal styling.  This album is a definite recommendation. These United States – Everything Touches Everything

Will it Ever The Secret Door Night And The Revolution I’m not sure how these guys slipped through the cracks with this album but Everything Touches Everything is one superb album.  These United States tackle that americana folk style that drips with pedal steel strings and great vocals. I think the stand out track on the album is Will it Ever, it features Jesse Elliot’s succinct lyrics, sweeping pedal steel sounds that will drag you around the room, and some real great energy moments that are near anthemic.  His vocals touch the range of high notes but stay within a…
