Today, These United States premiered “Born Young,” a brand new single from their eponymous new album, out on June 12th with United Interests. The track is the second from the album, a rambunctious melting pot of rock-and-roll, psych pop & southern rock.

These United States – What Lasts

The Great River Lucky enough to have scored an advanced release of These United States’ new album, which came as a surprise to me when up until recently I had not heard them.  Their new album, What Lasts, was written last summer after songwriter Jesse Elliott’s near death experience on Lake Michigan.  Befallen by this experience the album takes a decidedly darker, more heavy hearted turn. These United States – Everything Touches Everything

Will it Ever The Secret Door Night And The Revolution I’m not sure how these guys slipped through the cracks with this album but Everything Touches Everything is one superb album.  These United States tackle that americana folk style that drips with pedal steel strings and great vocals. I think the stand out track on the album is Will it Ever, it features Jesse Elliot’s succinct lyrics, sweeping pedal steel sounds that will drag you around the room, and some real great energy moments that are near anthemic.  His vocals touch the range of high notes but stay within a…
