Sometimes it’s just best to go your separate ways when a relationship isn’t working out. But sometimes, sticking it out just a bit longer can bring forth some interesting results. As is the case with Radiation City’s founding couple, Cameron Spies and Lizzy Ellison who as their band and personal relationship was crumbling, got back into the studio to record another album. Babies is a dreamy, distant feeling track similar to their “Color of Industry,” that is driven by a subtle drum loop and employs tons of vocal reverb. Radiation City is a sunny 60’s girl group influenced pop band with a wonderful lo-fi sound danceable rhythms and a light as a feather vocal style.
