New Music | Tennis – My Better Self

Tennis – My Better Self The much anticipated second album from Denver-based Tennis, Young and Old, is set for release February 14, 2012 on Fat Possum Records. What better day to fall in love with this band all over again. I can’t say enough about how I enjoy the lo-fi sugary sweet and breezy bedroom pop songs that Tennis has put out to date. With this second album coming out it only fuels the fire for similar hype. I’m digging this second released single, it really brings me straight back to the first album, and the added keys rounds out…

New Music | Tennis – Origins

The much anticipated second album from Denver-based Tennis, Young and Old, is set for release February 14, 2012 on Fat Possum Records.   What better day to fall in love with this band all over again.  You’ve heard the praise for their breezy pop songs again and again.  For good reason too.  And they do it once again with “Origins” the first cut off of their new album.  The band got together with Black Keys’ Patrick Carney to produce their sophomore album in Nashville.

I honestly never get sick of their lofi pop sound, and it seems like nothing has changed on “Origins.”  I really look forward to hearing more from this exciting band.

Since the summer, tracks have surfaced again and again as the hype picked up.  Finally now we get a full body of work in this LP.  How is it as…

If you don’t read everything I write, well shame on you, but hey I can’t blame you, its about the music.  Tennis is the husband and wife duo who saved money for years, bought a sail boat and sailed on the east coast for 8 months.  They wrote songs about their experiences and then released a 7″ via Fire Talk Don’t forget to listen to their two other tracks, Marathon, and Baltimore.
